Audiovisual Technologies- Chapter 11

Audiovisual technologies that are old and new and that are shown and displayed in the text are the old technology overhead projector and the new technology the computer displays as in the smart board for the visual technologies and then for the audio technologies there is the old technology the tape recorder and the new technology the i pod. For the visual technologies, the over head projector is useful in the classroom because it projects images or writing on a wall or screen for all of the students to see. I would utilize this during my class teachings because it could show all of the students a math problem or a reading while I am demonstrating an example of the type of math or the complexity of the reading styles that the lesson is focused on. A newer technology that is easier to use than the over head projector is the visual displays on the computer like the smart board tools that I would be more likely to use for my classroom. Utilizing a smart board for the students to see like the over head projector is more advanced because I could be able to highlight important aspects of notes and I could type up the notes before class and then add on more important things during the class time. For the audio technologies, the old technology is the tape recorder which I could use by recording students discussions or presentations to further grade the students more in depth and accurately. It could also record lessons for the students to do at home for auditory learners. Another audio technology is a new i pod technology that I could use by recording podcasts of lessons to send to students in order for them to listen to at home or out of class to remember what to do for homework or what to study for. Another aspect of the i pod is that in class  the students can get on the classroom applications for games in each subject also. All of these technologies are helpful in the classroom and I would utilize all of these.

Digital Technologies in the Classroom- Chapter 6

I would definitely want to teach in a classroom environment that has a lot of digital technologies. Even though there are risks of students to be off task or being distracted by the technologies themselves, I would rather have the technologies available to my students to utilize during and after the class time because this is a technology based world now and if the students learn and utilize the technology then they would just have that much more experience for their futures.

Best Super Bowl Commercial

For this year's super bowl commercials, I thought that Doritos had the best commercials in all. The advertising was witty and funny while still advertising their product. Each commercial had different characters and a different situation but each one ended with one thing, that Doritos should be the chip of choice. I thought that the one Doritos commercial that had the co workers talking about the Doritos and had  one of the co workers licking the other's fingers was the best because it shows how much Doritos are wanted.
